I am always intrigued by observing how people interact with their environments.

I'm searching for the convergence of research and practice to create better environments to improve human experience and well-being.

Through my research, I aim to solve complex healthcare design problems to create better healing spaces and therapeutic environments to improve human health and well-being.

I am open to the opportunities of research collaboration, speaking, and offering recommendations on healthcare design, post-occupancy evaluation, people-environment interaction research, and research-practice integration.

Research-Practice Integration

My research is grounded in theory, supported by rigorous methodology, and oriented toward practical application. A central focus of my work is advancing research–practice integration by connecting environment–behavior theories with the realities of healthcare design practice. I examine how empirical evidence can inform spatial planning, user experience, and design decision-making, while also addressing the challenges of implementing research findings within professional practice. By fostering collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and all stakeholders, my work aims to create evidence-informed design solutions that are both academically robust and practically relevant.

My book, "Environment-Behavior Studies for Healthcare Design", elaborates on the integration of research and practice in healthcare design. It discusses how environment–behavior studies provide valuable theoretical and empirical insights that can contribute to healthcare design to improve user experiences, and support the creation of more effective and responsive healthcare environments.
