Environment and Health

A memorable EDRA54 conference was held in Mexico City UNAM, Mexico, in June 2023. The rich culture and long history of the city make the conference more interesting and enjoyable. It is an absolute pleasure to give three talks about how to leverage environment-behavior studies for healthcare design research and practice at the EDRA 54 conference. I’m very excited to receive enthusiastic responses to my presentations. My talks addressed the following topics:

• “How Environmental Cognition Theory Contributes to Healthcare Design Research and Practice”

• “Environmental Preference Theories for Healthcare Design: An Analysis and Synthesis”

• “Exploring Environment-Behavior Theories for Healthcare Design: Searching for Creative + Analytic Synergy”

I am also extremely happy that I had the opportunity to introduce my recently published book “Environment-Behavior Studies for Healthcare Design” at the conference. Linking environment-behavior research and healthcare design practice is the central theme of my talks.
