People - Environment Interaction is a two-way interaction. It depends on many influential factors, such as an individual’s competence, experience, and cultural background. In my newly published book “Environment-Behavior Studies for Healthcare Design”, one of the topics is how people perceive and interact with the built environment, which is explained based on Environment-Behavior theories.
In the healthcare environment, healing and therapeutic effects are paramount. Therefore, researchers and designers need to create healthcare environments based on research evidence to help patients heal and achieve the best possible medical outcomes. My recently published book elaborates on these critical subjects in terms of how to generate research evidence and integrate research evidence into healthcare design practice through environment-behavior studies.
